Tian Winter dominates Inet Party Monarch with a double win

Soca sensation Tian Winter captured both the Groovy and Jumpy crowns at the 2025 INET Party Monarch competition held on Sunday 3 August at the Antigua Recreation Grounds (Carnival City).

In the Groovy segment, known for its melodic and soulful style, Tian Winter claimed the top prize with a commanding performance of Grateful. Later that evening, he returned to the stage with Antigua Mas to deliver a high‑energy set for the Jumpy category, which emphasises fast‑tempo soca rhythms.

This marks the third time Tian Winter has swept both titles in a single year, an impressive achievement underscoring his dominance in Antigua’s soca scene. Each segment winner received EC$50,000, while first and second runner‑ups were awarded EC$40,000 and EC$30,000 respectively.

Tian Winter has indicated that the 2025 edition will be his final Carnival competition, announcing his intention to retire from Party Monarch after 19 years of performing.

The double victory at the 2025 INET Party Monarch adds another milestone to Tian Winter’s illustrious career, making him one of the few artists to dominate both performance categories in Antigua’s Carnival.
